Traverse Line is an independent tour operator, specialising in trekking in South Africa and trekking in the Himalayas. We use experienced, personable local guides whom we know and trust - people who are not only excellent leaders, but who are fun to be with. We run treks in Nepal, India, South Africa and Namibia on both a fixed date basis (for clients seeking to join others for convenience), as well as fully bespoke, private treks (for clients seeking to travel on dates of their own choice, with exclusive use of a guide). In the Himalayas we run treks to Everest Base Camp, as well as to more remote destinations such as Mustang and Ladakh - we also specialise in small expeditions to climb Trekking Peaks: in Southern Africa we have introduced a series of interesting treks that are unique to Traverse Line - see "What's New" further down on this page. Using our in-depth country knowledge we also arrange fully bespoke extensions, ranging from wildlife safaris and river rafting, to city stays and lazy sojourns on the beach.

Mera Peak and Amphu Lapcha (Labtsa) Pass Expedition - Summit Success!
Traverse Line acheived summit success in April 2008, with 5 out of our team of 6 sucessfully reaching the top of Mera, and everybody crossing the magnificent Amphu Lapcha Pass.
